when is my period supposed to start?

I am on portia, this was my first cycle on it after 3 cycles on notrell. The notrell was a huge problem, I had much irregular bleeding and depression. Now after just one month on portia I have had absolutley no irregular bleeding (yea!) and my moods have been stablized.
I went through a little morality issue about the pill because of the very small chance that I could still ovulate and then not implant, but I decided that the best decision for my family is to stay on the pill right now.
Anyway, I was just wondering, when in the pill pack am I supposed to start my period? I know that the three pink pill weeks are the hormones, and then there is the white week. Is is supposed to start right away in the white week? Or is it normal to start a day or to into it?
I was so used to my period being predictable right down to the minute (practically) and it seems whenever I am on the pill it is less predictable.
Thanks

Hi again mom2sarahjacobcain, welcome back!
Jill
okay, it is day 3 and af finally started.
But I have awful cramps (hadn't had cramps since I had my first child 3+ years ago) and it is bright red and heavy and sometimes almost tissuey. Is that normal?
Hi again hon,
Jill
sounds good, and thanks.
I am glad that I have found something that seems to be working, and if I have to deal with a no fun period for a few cycles that is fine with me. It is much better than bleeding the WHOLE darn month, and the fact that I am not depressed, but instead myself is good for me too.
I appreciate all the help and support I have recieved on this board.
