I went and got my first nuvaring from Walgreens and they charged me $48 although my insurance said it should be $25.

I guess if your insurance company isn't going to sort things out, in regards to how much you are paying, and how much you thought you would be paying, then you will have to go back to considering your options. Is there anyway that you could put aside some of the money each week, so the money is saved up already when the three month mark comes around? If you think about it, it's a bit over $1 a day. So if you could afford to put aside $10 a week, then you would have the money, plus some left over, at the end of the three months.

At least now you've got your Nuvarings for the next few months, which will give you time to try it out and decide if it's for you or not, and if you can justify the expense, and how to work around it.

It's not that bad when you break it down.

Do you by chance have Alliance/ Blue Cross Blue Shield? They just moved it to tier 3 which is more expensive. I have one left and I plan to go to Mirena now because I don't want to pay so much.

I'd love to pay $100 for 3 months! I am paying the shelf price of $48, and I have BCBS. It is not on the formulary for my plan, therefore it's subject to a $60 copay. I pay a fortune for employer-funded insurance, and my prescription coverage is pretty poor.
