Changed Pills, No Period?

I recently switched birth controls pills from Estrostep, which has 7 inactive pills, to Yaz, which has 4 inactive pills. I was supposed to get my period this week stating about sunday (altho I usually wouldn't get it till monday or tuesday night anyway), but I haven't yet and its the end of the week!

I read that when you change pills your body may take a different reaction to them the first month if the inactive pills are a different amount of days. However, it didn't say it wouldn't come at all! Is this also a possibility and the reason it hasn't come?

Hi Snakegoddess -

Definitely can relate to this! I have also switched to Yaz. So far no side effects at all. The only thing that concerned me was my period didn't start until today. I was previously on Yasmin and my period would start at the beginning of the week. I assume since there are only 4 placebo pills, my system has to make an adjustment.

Well I noticed some spotting when I came home today after my post. So I'm assuming my body will ajust eventually. However, is it bad to switch brands too much? My aunt works for a doctor so I get free pills from her. They ran out of the Estrostep which is why i had to change to Yaz. But I don't know what she'll be able to give me next time. I prefer Estrostep...but I don't know what I'll get, could be something else all together! So is this bad to do?

Thanks for the quick responses!
