Plan B and periods

I'm freaking out. I had my last regular period on March 27-31. I had sex with my boyfriend on April 1. We normally use condoms, but since it was so close to the end of my period, I thought it would be okay to not use protection. Afterwards, I had second thoughts, so I got Plan B and took it on April 3. I didn't have any nausea or notice anything.
I got my period again on April 8th. I was relieved and I didn't worry too much about it being early since one potential side effect of Plan B is changes in your cycle. It lasted till about the 13th.
Then, all of a sudden, I got my period again on April 20th (still have it now). My cycle was pretty regular at 30-32 days before this whole mess. I've never been on any birth control pills, patch, etc. Could this still be a side effect of Plan B? Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Hi starlite804, welcome!

I agree--this is probably just a side effect of all of the extra hormones. Your first "period" was not your actual period, just bleeding because of the surge and then drop in hormones, this one might be, it all depends on what happened during the early part of your cycle after you took Plan B as to whether it delayed ovulation by a couple of weeks (that's one of the things Plan B can do).
It sounds like Plan B worked just like it's supposed to! Hope that helps...

Thanks Jill and Judie. I think you're probably right. I'm guessing my hormones are out of whack since I'm also breaking out which usually doesn't happen. Not freaking out as much now. :) Thanks again!
Hi again,
Do you think that Plan B would have any effect after I had my period in April? Took it April 3rd, had my period April 20th. Would the hormone change possibly have delayed my ovulation in May?
Thanks for any help!
Hi starlite804, welcome back!

We've had a number of women tell us that the cycle in which they took Plan B was pretty normal but the cycle that followed was the one that was weird.
