Slightly Spotting on NuvaRing

Hi everyone,
I have been on the NuvaRing for about 7 months now and I haven't had any problems. My period isn't supposed to start for 6 more days, but last night when I took my NuvaRing out just for a little bit- I noticed there was some light pink-red "blood" I guess. It was thick, unlike blood (sorry if this is TMI) and there was just a little bit. I never spot before I get my period. Do you think this is something to be concerned about? (I don't want to go to the Dr. for nothing, I have no insurance).

Since bleeding usually isn't a sign of anything majorly wrong when you're taking birth control, I think I'd wait and see what happened. It may be that it's a one-time thing, or it may be more than that, but I don't think it's something that you -have- to act on quite yet.
If it turns into heavy bleeding, then you'd want to see your doctor. But if it's just a little spotting, it might resolve itself (or not). You might also call your doctor's office just to see if they recommend that you come in or just to wait and see what happens. The phone call won't cost you anything!
If you have any questions, please let us know! Good luck!
