Plan B makes me feel like death.

My partner and I had sex Sunday night, and the condom broke. Monday morning he and I picked up Plan B (Levonorgestrel), which I took at 8:30 am and again at 8:30 pm (it's two pills to be taken 12 hours apart).

Since shortly after taking the first pill, I've felt horrible. My head feels like it is going to implode, I feel exhausted, I'm dizzy and nauseated, and there are times when I feel like I can barely stand up. Dizziness, nausea, tiredness, and headaches are listed as possible side effects, so I'm not terribly worried. I feel horrible, but I'm hoping that means the pills are working.

I have been experiencing side effects full force for almost two days. I realize that this is going to vary from person to person, but does anyone have perhaps a rough estimate of how long side effects should last?

Thanks.

There must be different drugs they use for plan B because i was supposed to take both at the same time. Did you eat before you took them? They told me not to on an empty stomache. If you are worried i would call the hospital and talk to them about it.

The way you are feeling with Plan B is VERY normal. In fact, my doctor prescribed me an anti-nauseau medication to take with the Plan B, because most women become very sick to their stomach.

I had taken the anti-nauseau medication and I STILL felt like crap.

So I just want you to let you know that this feeling is part of the Plan B experience.... not pleasant.

Some doctors prescribe it that way. Once I had a doctor prescribe it that way for me, and i got an extra at the same time. When i needed my extra, i called the pharmacy to ask about the taking it all at once since that is what my packet said, but they said to take one and then take the other 12 hours later, which is what the packaging orginally said. i don't think it really matters

The package said to take them 12 hours apart. Most of the side effects have gone away except for the headache, and I've been spotting and cramping. My last period ended 3 days before I took the pills.
