I had Paragard inserted the Wednesday before last and I am still bleeding. The doctor said I would bleed for 1 day and it has been 10 days now. It is very light but I wondering if this is normal or not? Other than that I am not having any problems. Thanks

I Have the Mirena and I spotted off and one for about 6 weeks. It can take some women 3-6 months to adjust to having an IUD. I assume that that is the same for either kind.

I've had mine since last Sept. I'm pretty sure my Dr said I'd probably spot off and on for a while. She told me if I made it through 3 months I'd like it. She was right. If you're really concerned you can call your Dr on Monday, for reassurance.

Best wishes

Sounds pretty normal to me. I've heard of some women that don't have any spotting problems (lucky me!) and others who have this spotting and bleeding for 6 months after insertion!

Thanks for the reassurance everyone! If this is the worst side effect I experience I guess that is not too bad.
