Considering BC

Hi everyone. I'm really considering going on BC, usually my bf & I just use condoms, we usually only get to see each other about every 6 weeks. but now that we're moving in together, I thought maybe it would be a better idea to be on BC...but I've never been on BC before...and I don't really know that much about it. So any advice, or feedback on different types would be good.

Hi and thanks :-) I did go and read through all of that. I'm thinking the pill might be best for me. I do have a couple questions. When it got into the pack numbers, like showing 1,1,2,2 I got a little confused. Maybe the part just didn't stick with me but I was wondering exactly what that meant? Also, it showed a couple different times about how close to the certain time to take it each time? and also about the phases? & how often do you take the pill? Thanks so much!

oh and while I don't get them a lot, I do get migraines, and the only thing that really gets rid of them is excedrine migraine. so how does that effect it? It said something about migraines, but I wasn't sure if it meant I should not use a certain kind of BC or what?

I was never on BC before either. I love the ring so far becuase u dont have to remember to take a pill. THere is a thing called nuvatime which will remind u on ur computer to remove the ring. My friend was on the pill and now shes on the ring and she said the ring is so much better bc u dont have to remeber to take a pill and no one sees u takin a pill.. Also dont forget if u get sick and throw up or something the pill is less effective and with some meds it is uneffective.. Rach

If you have migranes with auras, estrogen BC options are not appropriate for you. Like you see bright light, or loose vision in spots.

Good luck
