Trying to figure out if it's right

I have a doctor's appointment in a few days because everything just doesn't seem right. The past 6 or so months i'm had insomnia and bad pms before my period. And also I have weird pms like symptoms at random times ... maybe not really random, but i haven't kept track.

Would the pill help with this? I'm not sexually active so I don't need the pill for birth control right now. I just don't know exactly what I’m looking for and thought maybe this was a good place to start.

So i guess to sum up what i'm asking ...
Would the pill be a good choice in alleviating these symptoms?

Thanks for any help!

The pill is often used to regulate periods and alleviate PMS symptoms. Dietary changes and supliments can also help. Regular exercise, especially meditative routiens like Tai Chi and yoga have positive effects. The best advice I could give would be to talk to your doctor. S/he would have the best insight into what might work best for you. There are *lots* of options out there!

I am on Yaz birth control pill for severe PMDD, have been taking it since October. It's made a huge difference in my life... actually, it's my lifesaver.

I am not in need of birth control, as I have had the Essure procedure back in 12/04. It's a form of permanent birth control, less invasive than a tubal ligation. The Yaz is strictly for the severe PMDD.
