I'm 15 and I started on the Nuvaring last week, scince then its seams to have been alright, except that I've been extreamly moody and have gotten into various fights over pointless things with my family and my boyfriend. I also am pritty sure im depressed, which is the total opisite of my personality. As well as today I had horible abdominal pains for no apparent reason. How long will this last and how do I cope with it in the mean while?

When I first started the ring I had some pretty wicked gas pains in the first week of the first several cycles.

Mood changes are not terribly unusual when you start hormonal contraceptives. Sometimes that goes away on its own, but you'll have to see how you feel after the first 3 or so cycles are over.

Thanks, Yes I've done my research. I read someware that taking Vitamin B-6 could help reduce mood changes, do you know anything about this?

Yeah thanks, I'm hoping the moodyness will go away soon. I read on line the other day that Vitamin B-6 can help mood changes, have you heard anything about this? Thanks again!
