I've been taking bc pills since January on a very regular basis and the same time everyday. However, I had emergency surgery yesterday. I missed my pills on Monday and Tuesday. When I got home tonight, I took a pill, but it was at about six hours past my regular time. I was at the 2nd pill of the 3rd week of my Yasmin pills.
Can anyone let me know what I should do? I essentially took my Monday pill today, Tuesday. I have Tuesday-Saturday yellow pills left, plus the placebo week. I am off of antibiotics that I was on at the hospital, and am now on Hydrocodon for pain. Do I continue to take my pills, only being a day off? Or, do I just forget about this pack and start a new package the first Sunday of my next period? (Which should be coming soon.)
I'm so confused! thanks.

From here on in, I think it would be easier to take the pill for your corresponding day, i.e. tomorrow, Wednesday, take the pill for Wednesday, and don't worry about that other one you missed. The other option is to take the Tuesday pill now, so you have doubled up, which will set you right for tomorrow's pill. Use back up until you have taken your pill a full seven days in a row in the next pack. Because you have been on antibiotics, and you missed a couple of pills, it could screw up your cycle a bit until your body straightens itself on the pill hormones again.
Hope you are recovering from your surgery OK!
