I am a lurker on this board I was here about a year ago since then i have had my dd. I recently started back on bcp (yasmin again). I used them for 7 days and on day 9 had unprotected sex with dh. I wonder if at that point was i fully protected or is their a chance i could be pregnant? Also does having a baby change anything wit the effectiveness of pills? Anyone get pregnant while on yasmin within the first pack ? Thanks for advice

Did you start taking your pill during your period? If you did a Sunday start during your period I believe you're safe after 7 consecutive pills. I'm sure Jill can state that for sure.

Having a baby doesn't change the effectiveness of BCP

I didnt start the following sunday after period it was like 2 sundays after. DH is deployed and was here for pass so thats why I hadnt been taking them sooner. Now after this pack I wont contiue with pills dh wont be back for at least 4mths or longer. Is that a good idea to start and stop like that or does it matter? When they say sunday after period does 2 sundays later really matter?

I believe that unless you start during your period you need to take a whole month's worth to be fully covered.
