Going back on the pill, have questions!!

Hi ladies!
I went off the pill as I thought it was aggravating my migraines which I was right about. Now I am faced with the dilema that I have no idea when I am going to get my period, I spot every week and a half and I have cramps all the time! I am 37, probably heading into the peri-time, aggravated that this is happening just as we swing into summer too! So I have decided to start taking the pill again JUST for summertime. I dread spending my new swimsuit-ready body (I lost 50 pounds in the last year) sitting my butt by the poolside because my period came that morning again. I am going to go back on the Ortho Tri-Cyclen instead of the Microgestin FE as I had BTB with that. My last real period was on April 18 and had some spotting on May 1 and again on May 9th (you can see my reasoning!). Before April 18th, my period came on February 26th. Can I just start taking the pill instead of waiting until I get my period again, I really dont want to wait that long? Keep in mind, I dont need this for contraception. Thanks in advance!

Hi nicksmommy6702, welcome!
Jill
Thanks for the replies! I guess I am willing to trade a couple of extra migraines for the convenience of having a predictable period again in the summer! I have taken OTC for years and it worked pretty good so hopefully it will again! Will keep you posted!
