Nuvaring in right?

I know that according to Nuvaring it doesn't matter for effectiveness exactly where your ring is in place at, but I just have the feeling that mine isn't getting up high enough. I can't feel it, but it is very very easy to reach to take out and makes me paranoid that it's going to slip out. I just put it in last night and this is also making me worry that my boyfriend will definately feel it...and even though I know you can take it out I'm just worried that's going to be a hassle. Does anyone have any input on any of this?? I'm curious to know if your SOs can feel it, and if they can if they mind it??

First, I know the way I'm sitting/laying will change the way my ring feels inside. Like if I'm sitting on the edge of the tub when I feel for it, it feels really close to the opening, if I'm laying on the bed when I feel for it, it feels alot further back. So that might me what's happening to you. Either way, I've never had mine slip out.

Second, yes, my husband can feel it. He's never complained that it's in there, it doesn't bother him, he just knows it's there. HTH!!

just push it up with your finger and it's probably in far enough. i push mine in some and when i get it in far enough i can feel it pop into place.

i've never had it fall out before

my bf can feel it during sex. he doesn't complain. i don't know if he can feel it every time though. it has come out on his penis a few times though.

i can often feel it during sex. especially when i'm on top, so now most times during sex i'll take it out before we really get into it b/c it'll hurt if i don't.

it's not a hassle. wish i didn't have to, but it'll just depend on how it feels for you. popping it out for sex is a lot less annoying to me than taking a pill at the exact same time everyday and going emotionally psycho like the pill made me do!

4 1/2 years I've been using Nuvaring, and my husband has only felt it a couple of times.

When I put the NuvaRing in, I always twist it in a figure 8, then fold it so it looks like 2 loops. That helps to push it in, and once you get it in far enough it kind of "unfolds" itself. As long as you can not feel it, it's ok. And the vagina is not that big so of course you should be able to reach in and take it out. Now, there are times when it might slip (i.e. if you're using your PC muscles like when going to the bathroom.) But if it slips, you can always tell because its not too comfy when u have ring sitting close to your vaginal opening. So just go to the bathroom and push it up as far as you can. My ring very rarely slips, but its an easy problem to fix if it does.

And my SO has said he can feel the NuvaRing inside of me. But he has never had a complaint about it.
