Spotting on OTC-Lo

Hello everyone!
It's been a long time since I've posted here-everything had been fine until the last two pill packs. I've been taking Ortho TriCyclen Lo for 3-4 years now, and have never had a problem with it. Sometimes a little tiny bit of spotting at the beginning of the 3rd week of pills, but this happened to me with the regular OTC before, and with Lo it would happen once and then months would go by before it happened again.
Well, with my last pill pack I had spotting at the beginning of my 3rd week, but this time it was accompanied by cramps and the spotting was heavier, almost like my period was starting early. This happened for 2 days, and then disappeared. My period came as usual, no changes whatsoever. I started my current pack. I just finished the first week of this pack, and was dismayed this morning when I saw I was spotting again, a very, very light pinkish brown. Definetely not enough to need a pad, but it concerned me, as this has never happened before during my first week. I read the article on irregular bleeding under "Frequently Asked Questions" and saw that spotting during the first week is very rare.
I have taken all of my pills on time (within 1/2 an hour) without missing any, am not on antibiotics, have not been sick to my stomach, am not taking any supplements or meds that might interfere with the pill, I eat low-fat (not low-carb) and have not made any drastic changes to my diet or exercise regime. I have been stressed out from work, but I've been worse than this before, without any changes in terms of spotting and my period.
So I'm asking the million-dollar question: does this mean the pill isn't working correctly? Could this possibly be implantation bleeding? (My fiancee and I had sex on Wednesday 5/23. I did have some cramping Thursday evening, which I thought was odd and unusual.) If so, do I need to wait another 2 weeks to see if my period comes or can I take a preg test now? If you think everything is okay, should I consider changing pills?
I'm flipping out. Please help.
