In August, I'll be going on a 2 week cruise in Europe. We'll be in the same time zone as London and I think one ahead of it. I live in Pennsylvania. How should I do my birth control? I'm ortho tri-clyclean lo. I'll be on my 2nd week of active pills through my placebos when I'm heading home. Let me know.

Here's a cool tool I discovered. It's designed as a meeting planner for international businesses, but you can use it for meds as well.

http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/meeting.html

If you currently take your pill right before bed, the equivalent London time will be in the middle of the night. The day you depart, you could move your pill back to about 5PM home time. The next day, you'd be taking it at 10 PM London time. Since you *shortened* the time between pills, you shouldn't need a backup. Upon your return, you can either move your pill time back one hour per day until you are back on schedule, with no need for backup. However, this would mean over the course of a week taking your pill in the middle of the night. Or, you could just jump it back to 10 PM local at one jump, and use a backup method for 7 days of *active* pills.

You can also ask your pharmacist to double check this for you.

Ah, then you have it easy! You can just take it at 11:30 AM, about lunchtime, and no worries going there or coming home!
