Switched from ring to pill question

So....I was on the NuvaRing for almost a year and did okay with it. It was fine except for the hot flashes I had and the so much discharge I had to wear a pantyliner all the time side effect. Before the ring, I had been on the pill for 13 years prior to having my baby (I started the ring shortly after she was born).
Anyhoo...question is this....
Is it still normal to feel the lightheadedness and intense nausea when switching from one form of birth control to another like I have? I figured since I was switching from one kind of hormone therapy to another I'd be fine. Was I wrong?

I wish I could just not use hormones at all!!

ARGH!!

I think any time you change hormonal Bc you can experience lightheadedness and nausea any side effect bacause its a different formulation of hormones so your body can react to it differently. Hope that helped.

Changes in your hormones, whether natural or synthetic, can cause nausea and dizziness, particularly if it's a significant change.
