Is It Working????

I had a diagnostic lap about 3 years ago. The gyn. found retrograde menstruation and diagnosed me with microscopic endometriosis. She put me on Seasonale. During the course of this treatment, I was having night sweats and feeling hot during the daytime even when it was cold outside! When I asked to stop the medication, she said that I had to finish the 3 month treatment. Needless to say, once I finished the treatment, the night sweats and feeling hot were gone! I, then, was put back on Yasmin, since it worked before. I had a history of ovarian cysts and was previously prescribed Yasmin. I took Yasmin on a continuous basis. However, I began to have periods and menstrual cramping while on Yasmin. My gyn. then switched me over to Nortrel which was about late last year. Now, I am having the PMS, moodiness, cravings and cramping again! This has happened numerous times. Each time this happened, the gyn. told me to go off the pill for a couple of days and restart. She basically explained to me that this would reboot my system. I am beginning to wonder if this pill is working. Whenever I had periods, it was very very painful (nausea, bloating, big clots and extreme pain). I always thought that the pill would eliminate the PMS, cravings, etc.. Is this normal to have these symptoms or do I need to go on a higher dosage? I am at my wits end with this.
