I was always scared of the tubal cause I heard your periods were just awful-heavy/painful after a tubal. But I also had an ablation done with mine (may2006) and so my periods are almost "nothing"-1-2 days of spotting each month...minimal cramping.so I'm happy with my decision....hope you find the answers you need.....

Linda,

I had a tubal done in April/06 and it was the best decision I have made. I am 32. I was on BC for 16 years. I just went off BC this past week and was off about 2 months after the surgery but went back on because of my periods being heavy. Now I was on BC for so long and in those 16 years had maybe only 7 periods, so I am not even sure how my periods should be? I went back on the pill because my bleeding was heavy, but now I am off the pill and going to let my body adjust for 3 months and my doctor is going to evaluate my situation in Sept so I don't know if they are heavier because of the surgery. I know that if this is a problem from the tubal then I will have the ablation (Novasure) done to reduce the bleeding. My tubal I did have complications, my Dr nicked my bowel and I ended up having a incision about 2 inches long under my belly button and after I felt like I did have a c-section. If you are thinking about the tubal then I would have it done with your c-section. I wish I would have done it with mine and 8 years later I decide to have the tubal and I had a mini c-section anyways. I have had no other symptoms other than the periods but still I cannot relate the heavy bleeding to the tubal because my body had not really adjusted to my own natural hormones. Good luck in your decision and I hope myabe my post can guide you in your best options. I know the tubal was my best.
