Hi All.
I'm sure this is not the right board to post this message, but after "lurking" for a while, everyone seems so genuinely nice and supportive.
My period is due on 6/27...my BF and I were together on 6/8, 6/11 and 6/13. Since I was closer to ovulating 6/11 and 6/13, I took Plan B on 6/13.
I went in for my gynecologist yearly exam yesterday (6/18) and while examing me, she said my period was going to start. And, it did. 9 days before it was suppose to (I've been pretty regular up until this point).
I've noticed my period is different this time. Not only is it early, but it's "gushing" and thinner than usual, still red, though. Then this evening (day two), I started feeling nausous. Could I be pregnant? Could this be implantation bleeding? How long does implantation bleeding last? Wouldn't my gynecologist have seen this? Is it too early to take a pregnancy test since my "normal" period is suppose to start next week?
I'm just scared and worried since this is not something I've planned for.
Any insight will be helpful. Thanks!

Hi shopgirl_luvs_la, welcome!

Thanks, Jill.
We typically use condoms and, now, after my visit to the gynecologist, I have a prescription to YAZ. For my own peace of mind, I'll take a test.
I'm sure all of the stressing and worrying doesn't help.
Thanks bunches. I'll let you know.
Irregular bleeding is a very common side effect of using Plan B--that's one of the ways that it works.
Thanks, Judie.
One question I do have: My doctor advised to start taking Yaz the Sunday after my period. Wondering if the incident this week would count as my "regular" period?
I would say this doesn't count as your normal period, but since you took Plan B your normal period might not show up when you expect it to and you could end up waiting a while.
You might want to call your doctor tomorrow and explain the situation and see if the recommendation is to start the pill this Sunday regardless of whether this was a real period or chemically induced.
Good luck!
