Hi, I have been on BCP's forever and planning to stop using them in the next couple months as, I need to clear them out of system for a good 3 months-- maybe more. After getting body back to normal we will try and get pregnant.
Quesiton 1: Ever since I have been on them I have had an awful problem with weight gain and hoping when I go off them it will be easier to control. Have you noticed weight loss or weight gain after stopping them??
Question 2: Cycle, right now it is like clockwork. Worried that I will not know when it is coming now. What have been your experiences? Also cramping, I barely have any since I have been on pill and was the main reason I was on it for so many years. Does it come back as harsh as it was in my 20's??
Thanks!
Sophia

I took a 2 month break from birth control last spring after being on it for 9 years.
I can answer question 2...
Since stopping the pill in December my periods are pretty heavy for several days like they were before I ever took a pill (17 years ago). I am semi-regular though... there have been 2 times that my period has come when I wasn't expecting it. Once was a week early...
I just keep a calendar on my desk and mark it with a red pen when I start, then I go forward 4 weeks and put another little red mark to remind me when it should be coming up... it's usually a day or so off from that mark...
For example, this month I started actually bleeding today when the little red mark was 3 days away... I had some light spotting for the past 2 days...
