Hi everyone-
So I have been creeping on this board for awhile and finally decided to post my concern. Here is a little background information. I am a 22 year old. I have had very extreme periods for several years. Last up sometime more then 2 weeks but on average lasting only 2 weeks. I have VERY heavy periods. I finally got sick of dealing with my primary doctor so I finally went to see a ob/gyn. She has tried out several different birth control pills, and I am currently on seasonale. It seems to work pretty well. I am bleeding right now, and I am not expose to get my period until next sunday.
So here is my problem. About 3 years ago I started have sharp pain in my pelvic region. I got an unltrasound which showed nothing. The pain never really went away, but the pain came less and less frequent. About 3 weeks ago the pain started up again on my left side. At first it started just as a nagging pain that I could push out of my mind, but within the last week it has gotten to the point where I can't ignore it anymore. It is mainly on my left side and it sometimes goes into my back. The pain gets so bad sometimes that all I can do is curl up into a ball and rock back and forth. It makes me nauses.
I am looking to see if anyone has any ideas at what this could be. I have an appointment with my gyn on friday, so I figure that it has gotten to the point where I have to bring it up to her. Any suggestions would be amazing..
Thanks everyone,
Kelly

Hi Kelly, welcome!
Jill
I agree that a visit to your gyn is at the top of the to-do list.
Just a little more information that I forgot to tell y'all about. I feel like I can never completely empty my bladder. Even after I just went to the bathroom, I feel like I could go again, and most of the time I do go again and again and again. This stuff is frustrating and friday can't come soon enough.... Thank you girls for all the help and support...
Kelly
Definitely make sure you tell your doctor about that!
Nope, I don't have any pain or anything like that when I have to go, I just have to go a lot. I don't think tha it is linked to my pain. There is no burning, cramping, nothing when I go. The pain is just there all the time. The pain in my back is my lower back but no pain m my flanks or ribs or anything like that.. Thanks for that suggestion... Maybe I will ask for a urine test just to be sure..
thanks kelly
