Does the pill affect BBT?

Sorry, another paranoid post! :)
Last month I had an early period and then another period during the placebo week. During the placebo week, I had sex with a condom but still took Plan B because of paranoia. I even took a pregnancy test last night which was negative.
I took my third active pill of my pill pack last night and this morning I took my BBT, which was 98.5 (it was, however, after I had been awake for a few minutes and got up).
Does the pill affect BBT? Should I keep taking my BBT or should I stop because it'll make me worry? Is there any way that the sex was during breakthrough ovulation? I took my BBT during my period week and it was between 96.5-97.1 on a couple days, I think. I might have taken it one time about 5 hours after taking Advil, I don't know if that affected it. Do BBT's drop during placebo week? Or is there still hormonal imbalance that will skew BBT?
I just don't understand why my BBT was high this morning.
Is there any chance I could be pregnant??
Thank you SO much.
P.S. Just out of curiousity..I think I read in an earlier post that you charted your BBT's on NuvaRing for 2 months. What was your average BBT? Were you taking it because you wanted to see if your pregnant or to see if you ovulated on the pill?
One more question - in my last post I said I got very slight brown discharge after the first night of active pill. Could this in any way have been implantation bleeding if I started my period 6 days before? Was it just the end of my period??

Hi goterps822, welcome back!
Jill
Thanks so much :) You made me feel a lot better...I definitely need to relax.
I was wondering if back pain is normal when you're on the pill? I got some back pain this week, after my period ended, but could it be the hormones from the pill? I've been on it awhile though so I'm not sure what is causing it.
And just for reassurance -- since I just got my period -- this back pain isn't signaling pregnancy right? I don't see how that can be so but I just need the reassurance! Hehe.
Have a great weekend!!!

Ok, thanks :) I guess my question was that I shouldn't be worried about pregnancy if I just got my period right? I've read that you can have your period and still be pregnant, though I thought that only referred to spotting. I definitely had a normal flow.
And if back pain can be a sign of pregnancy -- isn't that not until later in pregnancy?

Getting out of bed will definitely raise your BBT--even just being awake for a while and dozing will raise it, so if you're going to chart your BBT you need to take your temperature as soon as you're awake, before you do -anything- else.
When I was temping with Nuvaring, I just wanted to see if there was a hormonal pattern going on at the same time, as I had just started using it. On the days where I would wake up to my alarm (suddenly), my temps were spot-on consistent.
