I started taking the pill again after a 4 month break. I've been on it for one week now and I find myself already being snappy and that sad/overwhelmed feeling.

Why? Is it just because I am under more stress right now (summer semester is ending - lots of homework/due dates, new relationship) or could it be the pill?

I had to quit my last pill Alesse (the generic rather) because of uncontrolled anger/depression...but now they have me on a lower dose Loestrin 1/20.

Is it too soon to tell? Obviously I should finish this pack but I don't know if I should give it three months or call my doctor. I'm afraid if I'll call she'll just say "stick with it"

Opinions? TIA

Personally, I tried Loestrin 24 and hated it. I took it for two months and canned it. I am currently trying to find something that works for me. I will let you know if I find something! I am beginning to think that if you lean towards being more moody than average, if you struglle with any type of chemical or hormonal imbalance...you might be out of luck when it comes to birth control! A friend of mine recommended a book to me called Taking Control of Your Fertility. I haven't read it yet, but I have heard great things about it...but it is only for fertility and not for protection of any other sort. Best of luck, darling Suzy!

Hi! I was about to post out to you the other day. Glad you are still around. Thanks for the update. I'm beginning the third week tomorrow and all this past week I've had break through bleeding, and still yucky discharge. I'm not sure how my moods are... ok I guess although today just want to be left alone and in a "blah" daze. My legs are not as achey as over last weekend. I hope things begin to even out well into the second pack. I have to say though this is the worst pill I've started on giving me so many problems during the adjustment phase of it. That's where I am. Sorry to hear things are not much better for you. Keep me posted and I'll do the same.

Thanks :)

Sorry to hear about your BTB, ugh years ago when I was on Seasonale that happened to me, I had my period for a month straight! And it wasn't when I first started it, but rather 2 years later.

I am feeling better now then I did earlier. I am under ALOT of pressure with school right now so perhaps I was having a personal mental breakdown.

I hate how this medication controls us - so to speak. I mean we take it so that we don't get preggo, or in some cases to regulate our periods, etc. But it makes us so miserable. While I realize there are non-hormonal options - IUD, I'm not willing to have minor surgery. I hear it can be rather painful!!

Blah....I hope things get better for you. Email me though my profile anytime, or here is good too.
