Nuvaring: How Much Do You Pay and Where?

Hi ladies,
I've been a Nuvaring user for the last 2 years and it's been great so far! My prescription has always been with Rite-Aid, because one of my friends is a pharmacist there and fills it for me every month. But they recently raised the price to $57.99(!) so I am looking to change pharmacies. Just curious, if you're a Ring user, could you please tell me what you pay for 1 ring and where you get it from? I don't have insurance at the moment, so I'm looking for the actual retail price that chain pharmacies charge. I'm guessing places like Target and Wal-Mart are much less than what I'm paying now. Thanks so much for your help!

it's only $45 at smiths. I am in the same situation as you, so if you find it cheaper than that, please let me know also.

Thanks, everyone! I called 10 pharmacy chains, and the best option is Target - $44 and change for one Ring. Wal-Mart is only about a dime cheaper, and there aren't any nearby. Costco is a teeny bit more, and I think you do need a membership to use their pharmacies. So, those of you whose insurance doesn't cover the Ring, I would recommend switching your rx to Target! I am doing that this month myself - over the course of a year, that'll be around $150 saved, compared to what I'm paying now. :)

I have no health insurance and my income is less than 20,000 a year right now. I get my nuvarings for free from planned parenthood.

Well right now i have kaiser and get 3 for $30. But when i didn't have insurance about a year ago i would go to the local womans clinic and i would get it for free. Look online for a planned parenthood in your area or go to the womans clinic to see if they can help you out

Good luck on finding a price that suits you

WOW! You all are talking about the price for 1 ring, right?! I'm so sorry for you all and the price of birth control in the US. I know birth control is expensive, but I don't ever remember it being that expensive.

I pay 47€ (~64$) for 3 rings.

Yes, this is what American women pay for birth control.
