Nuvaring??

I have a big question....
Firstly, I went off the pill about 28 days ago, got my period 3 days after going off the pill... I haven't gotten my period, and we've used condoms every single time we had sex. So my first question is when should I be getting my period? My period after the pill was definitely a normal period, like i would have had, so is my body going to go back to how it used to be like 30-35 day cycles or pretend that it was still on the pill for this month? Secondly, I have IBS and had horrible digestive problems on the pill, constipation and bloating, horrible weight gain and everything possible, so my doctor perscribed me the Nuvaring when I get my period again to start it.
However, I'm super nervous about it falling out or slipping out during sex or anyhting like that. I have lactose intolerance, which may have easily caused my stomach aches on the pill( I was on Yasmin, adn then Alesse and Tri cyclen lo). on Yasmin, i bloated right away, and couldn't eat anything. On Alesse, i gain about 10 pounds in 4 months, snapped at the world, had horrible acne and everythng. Tri cyclen lo when i began to take it, after 20 minutes or so i'd break out into crying fits... i often bawled for no reason. My stomach would get hard and bloated 30 min after taking it, however my acne got much better and i sort of felt a little bit lighter, but not much...
So what should i do? Also, I'm trying to lose weight, and i've always struggled with weight problems, so am i going to gain more weight on the nuvaring or what? is there a pill that is going to maybe help me more than the nuvaring? my doctor said that it is a possiblity that using the nuvaring will be easier on my system as it doesnt have to go through the stomach...
Anything would help me... I'm a super paranoid person, so nervous....
Thanks alot guys

Argh, I had a whole response typed and my internet crashed when I went to preview.....
Thanks Judie,
the last time i went off of the pill, which was back in February, I got my period 35 days after the first day of my period, so i guess 28 days after my period, which would mean I should be getting it this week or perhaps on Sunday. I'm going to wait until then, and then I'll see. If i still haven't gotten my period, which i really hope isn't so, then I'll really worry.
Thanks again!
So I was supposed to get my period today, and i took at test, and its negative, so i'm not pregnant, but where is my period?? there's no possibility that this is wrong, or of me being pregnant anyways, because we've ALWAYS used protection of some sort, so it's just really weird to me, hopefully i get it soon... And quick question, how do i know if i'm ovulating/if i actually did this month? I think i may have started around the 8th, which means, i probably wont get my period until mid this week if that's what it means?
I hope the stress isn't messing up my system too much and delaying my period...
Hi again hon,
Jill
As a newbie on the ring - just about 3 weeks - I haven't had any problems at all with it falling out, and believe me, I was sort of nervous about it.
Thanks guys
So last night i had some brown discharge and what looked like a period, so i started the ring, but today, theres nothing! should i take it out, did i do someting wrong? i thought i had my period, and i dont feel pregnant and the test said i wasn't... so then where is the period i used to have, super heavy? is this a period or just spotting? aah!! why am i so nervous again!
Wait!
Thanks guys.
SO i had it in for maybe 24 hours, and i was reading online that spotting could mean that i was ovulating. I have been SO itchy, could feel the ring. I kept taking it out and pushing it forward, or just pushing it up farther. I was so uncomfortable and annoyed at it that I just took it out.
I've scheduled a doctor appointment for Wednesday; I know i'm not pregnant, but the week before this spotting i had alot of mucus, like you know how you feel as if you are going to get your period... is that the sign that i was ovulating? Lets hope I haven't messed up my body YET again. wow, i'm pretty bad, eh??
Spotting is usually not a sign that you're ovulating--most women don't have any spotting when they ovulate and if you didn't have spotting when you ovulated before you ever took the pill, it's not likely that you'd have it now.
