I was put on the antibiotic

You should use a back up method for at least 7 days after the last dose of the medication is taken. I would try calling the pharmacist for clarification but it seems that Z-pack follows the same rules as other antibiotics. Some sites suggest up to 10 days after the last dose is taken.
