Cranberry juice and acid reflux

I have a urinary tract infection. Because my allergies to just about all antibiotics are severe, my doctor said to drink a lot of cranberry juice. I have acid reflux (GERD), and take Nexium each day, but even with the medication the cranberry juice gives me heartburn. So I'm not drinking more than about 1/2 cup a day, diluted in a lot of water. I'm also taking cranberry capsules, but only about 400 mg a day...again because of the heartburn problem.
My question: Is this enough cranberry juice and capsules to help with my urinary tract infection?
