I am so sad--and so angry, at the same time, and so frustrated with the idiocy of people...

My next door neighbor (I'm in the back apartment, he is (was) in the front apartment) died Friday. He was 33. His fiancee (who had moved in with him about a year ago) was killed a month ago in a horrible accident on the interstate, along with her friend. The friend's husband and my neighbor both had very minor injuries. Both girls were killed, and the guys lived. Well, until a blood clot that was apparently caused by the accident broke off

OH, I'm so so sorry for the tragic and pointless death of these good people! What an awful loss!

I completely understand your anger at so many things!

When I have some time, I"ll come back and post more, in the meantime:

((((((((HUGS)))))))))) and know that I am truly thinking of you today.

Peace, Karen

That is so disrespectful of those people to minimize the importance of thier lives so that they can make it trivial compared to their position in heaven. And all so they don't have to face the reality of death. Wow. I would not be able to hold

I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend. He was so young! And I understand how frustrating it must be to hear what other people are saying. But they're saying what makes them feel better. It's how they deal with their grief. I think in those situations all you can do is smile, nod and come vent to us. ((((hugs))))

Thanks, you guys--I really appreciate the support. It was always so nice to see him on his patio when I came home from work or wherever--messing with his flowers or putting seed in the bird feeders. When Julie moved in, she brought hummingbird feeders, too. We borrowed eggs from each other, and took each other pieces of desserts--chatted over his patio railing, etc. So I am really quite distressed, and I'm sure that the people he worked with feel the same. He was a very special guy, and she was very special, as well.

I'm really sorry to hear about your friend and his partner. That really is so sad. I do think that one of the attractive things about religion is that it creates purpose and reason for tragic events, where really there is none.

I admire you for not losing it at people saying these things, I really do.

I am so sorry for your loss, and I totally understand your frustration. I think you did a beautiful thing with the donation of the money you got back from their wedding gift, and it seems just the right type of thing for the sort of people they were.

My thoughts are with you.
