Are there any AP children's books?

I would love to be able to find some AP children's books for Max and Ava -- does anyone know of any that depict slings, breastfeeding, family beds, etc.? I'm *tired* of Max asking me about the baby bottles in his various "I'm a Big Brother" books, and I'd rather Ava see pictures as she grows of mama's doing what we do.

Anyone have any good suggestions?

I have a bedtime story called "I love you as much..." It's all about the different animals and how mommy loves baby, like I love you as much as the ocean is deep (about a mama whale). And the last page shows a human mom and baby and it says something like "Now sleep child of mine while the stars shine above, I love you as much as a mother can love" and it shows the mommy sleeping next to her baby in a family bed.

The artwork is so beautiful , it is my favorite of all Luca's books. I didn't even realize it was AP until I'd been reading it to him for about 6 months.

I LOVE that book. I got that as a gift when my first daughter was born back in 1997. I always loved reading it, so beautiful. Unfortunately, I've had to tape up some pages a few times through the years! LoL. It never even dawned on me, until you mentioned it, that it was ap. I mean, I knew the last pic was of mom and baby laying down together, but I never gave it a second thought!

Yes, there's a web site called "Attachments Catalog" (I think) that has a whole bunch of books depicting the topics you mention. I was specifically looking at new baby titles because I wanted my older DD to see images of a nursing infant before the new baby arrived - "We Have A Baby" was my favorite.

I also think multicultural books are a good general resource, if only because they accept heterogeneity.

We have that too! LOL -- I guess I *DO* have an AP book! ;) Thanks to all of you for your terrific suggestions! I'm going to have to go get a few and send in some book reports.

Thanks,

One more good reference site for you - from the Kellymom site. They're listed by different ages - and it's a great, great list, with lots of the above-mentioned books on it.
