I'd like to wear my baby (carrying her around all day is really doing a number on my back), but I really can't afford a sling. My husband was laid off for almost a year and we are seriously playing catch up now that he is back to work, and there is just no extra money for a sling.

Does anyone know where I can get one for $20 or under? Or better yet, where I can get a pattern to make one?

Also, she is 8 weeks old, is it too late to start putting her in a sling?

Where do you live (just the state) and do you want a ring sling or a pouch? Mayawrap.com has instructions to make a simple ring sling. What's your measurement loosely from one shoulder to the opposite hip and what cup size are you approx.? (this is for pouches)

and 8 weeks is not too late to start slinging. It's about when I finally felt strong enough to walk around while carrying my DS.

Ebay may have some listed.
