Hi,
I just read the messages on the hip hammock and I am very tempted to try one! I do already have an Ergo carrier and I was wondering if it is worth it to try the hip hammock. I have the original Ergo that doesn't do the hip carry. Does anyone have both of these carriers or have used both of them ? And if so what do you think? Thanks for any help! Kelly

I jut bought the hip hammock this wkend and I love it! I tried to use a sling but it just didn't work for me, so I used the baby bjorn till DS reached 20 lbs and it killed by back. So last weekend I bought the hip hammock. I used it Sat and Sun and I really like it, so does DS! It makes my back feel much better. The only thing is getting used to the strap on my shoulder, but it works! I'm happy with it. I was just gonna come here and see if anyone else was using it ans see what they think of it, so I'll be curious to see other resonses to this thread.

My Hip Hammock is lying in my "to sell" pile of baby stuff along with my Bjorn and my 5 in 1 carrier.

what is an ergo?
my ds outgrew his bjorn at around the 19 lb mark. so now at 21 lbs i just carry him and it is not too comfortable for me. we never used the sling as he HATED it. is there any alternative to the sling at this size?
thanks

I had an Ergo and DS and I both hated it. He didn't like not being able to see much in front of him and I could never get the hang of getting it on/off by myself. Now I have a Hip Hammock and we love it. Comfortable, easy to put on, and I find it more secure than a sling so I can easily bend down to pick up my toddler when I need to.

Hello,

You can also try the HipDaddy. I think that it is better than the Playtex hip Hammock. I love mine!
