Best sling for hip carry only

I love my ergo but really only for the back carry position. I find it uncomfortable in the hip carry position. And DD no longer rides against my chest because she likes to "shove" her fingers up my nose and in my eyes etc.

I'm looking for a compact sling fo carrying her on my hip - that's all it needs to do. Need to be comfy on my shoulder and stable for a squirmer.

DD is 14 months now and about 20lbs.

Which sling would you try?

TIA,

I think pouches are the easiest and most compact for a hip carry only.

Which ring sling?

I have a H2H but the shoulder part won't stay over my shoudler and rides up onto my neck... It hurts. :)

I use a ring sling for this too. My DD is now 2 years old and about 30#, and I have been using a ring sling for the hip carry with her since she was about 6-9 months. I have a NoJo, the old kind that I know a lot of people don't like--there are a lot of others out there that are newer, certainly, but I have had this one almost 8 years and I love it. It's my old friend by now!! It's very similar to the OverTheShoulderBabyHolder. It doesn't dig into my neck because you can fan the fabric out over your shoulder, and it still supports her quite well even at 30# and 36 inches tall. HTH!
