Washing Bali Baby?

I'm investigating wrap slings... I might end up just making my own.
I was taken, though, with the Bali Baby Breeze... hand batiked, lightweight gauze, beautiful and very well reviewed at the Babywearer.com
DH agrees that it's beautiful... he said "but is it functional" and I showed him the reviews. Then he said "is it machine-washable?"
And I said, uh..... I dunno!
I haven't seen mentioned in any of its descriptions or reviews whether it needs any special washing! I would guess that the hand-batik would be more difficult to care for, but surely a sling that will be holding babies (babies leak!!) should be designed with washing in mind??
Anyone know, or know where I could find the info? I guess I could just email gypsymama...
