"Cartwheel Effect" On Meds

I have to ask everyone here something about meds. I've been on mine for about 3 weeks now. Every now and then I'll get what I call a "Cartwheel Effect" where I just get strangely happy for no apparent reason and I feel like doing cartwheels around the room. It happens about once a day and it doesn't last for long but I feel so good I feel like bringing my arms and legs up and saying, "WOOHOO!!!" lol Then, I tend to feel depressed for a little while and then I finally level off to that "normal" state or that "even keel" stage we're all trying to achieve. My pdoc said that this is normal for right now as my body gets used to the meds and gets used to stabilizing itself. It's a really weird feeling, however. It feels good...lol but strange nevertheless. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar? I'm on 450 mgs of Trileptal, increasing slowly because of side effects. He is thinking about putting me on anti depressant as well but b/c I don't tolerate meds too well, he's waiting a bit.

Ok, thanks in advance!
