taking control

Hi. This is my first time using this message board. I have been living in constant sadness for the past year. I recently began seeing a counselor about it and it feels good to have taken that step. It's been difficult for me to find happiness in anything that I do. I have experienced feelings of worthlessness, guilt, low self-esteem and have had a load of confidence problems. It's affected my marriage of 6 years and it's straining my relationship with my children. My husband, family and friends are supportive but it's still hard to relate to them how I feel. I find it frustrating to not be able to have someone completely understand me. I hope that this forum will help me in that it will familiarize me with women who are like me and I won't feel so isolated. I'm in the process of getting medication to help with my depression and hopefully, along with the counseling, I will be able to take control of it instead of letting it control my life.

Thanks for listening,

Jaime

Welcome to the board!

You have found a wonderful place. We all deal with depression everyday and know how difficult life with depression can be. I too have worthlessness, guilt, low self esteem and no confidence. I am working on these issues, and am on medications. But it is so hard!

Anyway, pleased to meet you and I look forward to learning more about you.

Jamie,

Welcome to the board I hope that you come here often and post just as often.

The ladies here are great very supportive they will laugh and cry along with you, the ladies here have saved my life.

I know how hard it is for you right now being married and having to try to help others understand where you are right now can be frustrating on both ends but in time things will get better you will see.

I am not doing well these past few days so I am not so great in the advice department these past few days.

Sorry I cant offer more insight or support

but the ladies here are great you will like it here

Erin
