When I am having a really bad day I play with my dog cause she is just a love bug she really is granted she is a 70 pound love bug she makes me laugh which is always good for the soul.
I also work out like 6 days a week so I do yoga 25minutes everyday and that helps alot cause you have to focus your energy into your body and it clears your mind.
I talk with my neice who is 4 years old and very smart and funny so that makes me laugh.
I call someone to NOT talk about what is wrong with me but to talk about everything else.
I clean that keeps me busy and usually expells any negative thooughts and energy that I have inside of me.
I look at pictures of my son who is 5 years old and smile and cry which helps release alot of things.
I sit outside and look up into the starts
I go online and post and ent here at this great board
I get some coffee or tea or hot chocolate.
take a hot shower
paint my nails
read my quates from quoteland.com I printed ones up about love life faith hope dreams ect.... and they make me feel better
I write in a journal
or I beat the hell out of my pillow or bed or both til I feel better.
I hope I was of some help.

Hi, ((((((((((Miriam)))))))))!
I'm posting to you here this time rather than by your other post.

I usually force myself to tell someone as I don't like admititng I am having a tough time. I feel guilty about it. That way I get support I need. Mostly from my husband, but also my mom and my close girlfriends.
I post newly here but in mthe past at the PPD board. Still there too. It really does help.
I'll Journal.
I'll watch something really not related to anything highly emotional -- like nature programs or I'll read National Geographic.
And weather permitting, I get out and go for a walk. That helps alot. with or without my son.
My cats help too. tremendously. I remember my kitty just sitting on my lap through hid anxiety attacks.
On a really bad day, I would get myself over to my sisters or my mothers so I am not alone. As long as they don't force me to talk about it.
Go to a nature center and look at trees and flowers.
Worse comes to worse, I'd go to a mall or book store. Any change of scene.
Please do let us help you, if you feel you can post. I am new to this board, but believe me these places are nonjudegemental.
Take care, kelly
I am glad you posted this question. I had a very tough (bad) day and am still trying to cope, so that's why I am here.
I am home from work, alone, except for my cat (she is a great support system), pretty sick with a sinus infection. I was trying all day to think of positive things, but found myself dwelling on family issues that bring me down. Then, I remembered iVillage boards.
Anyway, besides petting my cat, I e-mail friends and spend time online. I am trying to lose weight on WW and have a support thread in that site that I post to. I called my MIL (sometimes can help). I do not have close friends in my neighborhood, so have to keep myself happy. I feel better when I walk or exercise, but was not up to that because of all the sinus congestion. Well, I think there are some great suggestions here. Glad I stopped by.
DH is away on business travel, was at a meeting most of the day and on planes tonight. He was not much support today. For some,DHs, SOs and family offer the "hugs" we all need.
Take care and will check in again.
