I'm Back, and Sad

Hey all
I am back from visiting with my brother and his family and my mom.
I am back home and feeling lonely. It was this weekend last year that my ex and I got back together. I just feel so lost without him. When he wants to, he can be a great guy. We started dating when we were 16. I basically grew up with him and his family was my own since my family was not close at all. I know I deserve to be happy all the time with someone who is wonderful all the time, but I am just so alone.
I feel so empty and lost. I don't even know what I like to do anymore. I love horses and just about anything to do with them, but I don't have one right now and am not in a position to get one.
Sorry ladies.
Pamela

I'm sorry you're so lonely right now sweetie.
I live in a pretty small town, and there are no riding stables around here. There are alot of what are called PMU (pregnant mares urine) barns around here, but this past year alot of them got shut down. And these horses aren't trained for anything. They just stand in stalls so their owners can make money off their urine.
I am thinking of calling all the people who have barns to see if I can help them out. I don't even care if I get paid, I just need to be around horses again.
Take care
Pamela
I'm sorry you're feeling down now. I agree with Caly and with you that finding a way to be with horses, even if it's not a paid position, could really help. I did the same thing, but with cats, when I was depressed while in college. My own cat always helped me feel somewhat better, but she was living at home with my parents...my dorm didn't allow pets, of course. So I went down and volunteered at the local Humane Society, just petting and "socializing" the animals...it was rewarding for me, and maybe I even did helped the cats out a bit too.
Hope you start feeling better soon,
Rose

I am gonna ask around the office today to see if anyone knows of anyone. That's one of the downfalls of a little town.
Thanks for the replies.
