Update on the Framer and other things...

Hello Everyone,

I am writing the framers explanation as an example as to how our action can effect others. The framer’s actions not only effected his own family but carried over to his employers. We all make mistakes but can we find the lesson hidden in that mistake is the question.

Erin,

you asked if the framer made it home. To my understanding and bear in mind that I only repeating what I heard from my husband. The framer called my husband early Thursday morning to let my husband know that he was okay. The framer wanted to give my husband an explanation and my husband told the framer that he did not have to explain. The framer insisted and this is his story with vague answers.

The framer said that his wife insists that he attends these meetings (no elaboration of what kind of meetings) and that if you are not at the meeting at its appointed time that they close and lock the doors. Well, as his story goes, he was a few minutes late for the meeting and the doors were locked. He went back to his truck and decided to wait in his truck for the meeting to be over with but he fell asleep and he did not wake up till 5:30am that morning. As far as if he ever went home after that I am not sure.

Caly,

I totally agree with “NOT” talking about the house right before we go to sleep. My husband has never done that until Wednesday night. I do not know why the subject came up. I can only surmise that the framer was on his mind because of the phone call and that particular problem jumped into his mind, as he knew that it was important to me.

I have suggested that my husband writes all instructions for all sub-contractors but the problem is it takes time. It would take a lot of time that my husband has so little of to write them all so he resorts to telling the subs. If the instructions were in writing, it sure would be hard for that sub to deny if they make a mistake.

Barb,

I am happy to announce that all cards are done and mailed. My husband came home last night and insisted that we do them. We started but as I was writing in the cards, I notice a sound that reminded me of a buzz saw. I turned around to find my husband asleep in the chair behind me. I know that the cards were important to my husband so I struggled with watching the little ones and finishing the cards. My second oldest daughter took them to the post office for me this morning. I do like your suggestion that getting the cards after Christmas is just as fun as getting them before. My husband enjoyed a good night sleep but I unfortunately did not. I need to remember that when I have been upset all day or most of the day, that I must be mindful of what I eat, my stomach kept me up must of the night.

I am sending cyber hugs and positive thought to all.

Warmest Regards,

RainydaysArgon

Hi there!

Thanks for the updates,, sounds like things are a little better today!

I realize that writing stuff down takes time, but perhaps that is where you can help.. Maybe when you sit down to discuss things that you both want you have a piece of paper handy and make notes and then write it up for each workman it involves.. I realize its a lot of work but I have a feeling in the long run the headaches it will save will be worth it!

Glad all is well today!

Lots of Love!
