Hi everyone....

I had my doctor appointment yesterday, but she ended up telling me to go see my primary care physician.

Hi J,

I'm glad you are taking a proactive approach to feeling better. You are very lucky to have a husband that understands and supports you. One thing I would recommend is that you go to a psychiatrist rather than a family practicioner. The FP's are not trained in the way a P is. In my experience, they will just issue the "standard" that they give everyone else and that may not be effective for you. P's can also talk to you about your diet, etc.

Sorry I haven't emailed you yet. I think it is an occupational hazard - I get hundreds of emails at work a day, so I have a tendancy to stay away from it as much as possible.

I hope you start feeling better today. I have the Feel Good Handbook from years ago that has been sitting on my shelf collecting dust. That's probably why I'm still in this situation! Right! Maybe I'll dust if off today considering I didn't make it to work again. It took me three hours to get my two year old to daycare this morning. I couldn't get myself dressed, let alone him which is a bigger task.

Hugs,

the other J

Good Afternoon J -

It sounds like you are heading in the right direction. I think it is great that your DH is also being supportive of you!!!!! Writing down small goals that you want to accomplish each day is a great thing as well. But don't beat yourself up if you don't get them done. That will only get you down again....and that is not what you want!!!! If you don't accomplish a one of your goals today.....you WILL do it tomorrow!!! I know that you will!!!! Thanks for keeping us updated!!!

God Bless Ya

~Jen~

I agree with Jen! Writing down goals is great ! and the way to go,,,, but make sure you dont give yourself TOOO MANY in one day and make sure you reward yourself and congratulate yourself for EACH ONE you DO get done!!

Glad everyone around you is so supportive that helps ALOT!
