Effexor Withdrawal - please help
| Thu, 01-08-2004 - 7:14pm |
Hi,
I was on effexor (75 mg) for one month, and 150mg for for about three more weeks. I didn't want to be on it anymore (doctor approved) and weaned myself back to 75 mg for a few days, then went off it completely. I have such severe withdrawal - nausea that only a shot of Gravol from the doctor will relieve for about 12 hours, and "brain shocks". Its been about a week since I've been off it. Has anyone been through a similar experience? I am sick to my stomach and the brain shocks are not helping. I've read on the internet that people will experience the brain shocks for months after they go off. I just need to know that they will go away and soon! I am absolutely miserable.

In some ways I hope you have to stay on Effexor because it is horrible! I actually found an online petition with people who want to sue the company because the withdrawal symptoms are totally ruining their lives.
