I needed to post with out my hat right now cause this isnt CL Caly, this is just me....

Having a really hard time right now... its not about depression its bigger then that.. its about being an "invisible" person.

I dont DO any of what I do in this world, for honors or accolades or rewards. I do things because I care and because I want others to be happy.

I guess just once in my life... I wish Someone would think that I was worth doing the same for... Oh I know when I get upset and

first, what a catchy subject line!

next, i gotta say - WOW. you just described me.

except for having to remind the DH about dates/holidays/anniversaries - as that's me, i'm the airheaed! LOL

but, i've felt that way for a LONG time now. i mean, heck since i was a child. the youngest of 3 (which doesntsound like much) but to mother (who raised us alone), her "boys" (my 2 older bro's) were her "light" - and then there was "the accident" (the reason her husband (my father) "ran away"). so i was alwasy the invisible child & still am today - 20-some yrs later. the black sheep of the family who can do no right - so they ignore me - completely - unless they need something (which i've just recently seperated myself completely from them in not helping out w/anything - since they never have or do help me out).

anyway, besides that, i'm invisible at work, until something goes wrong (and someone to blame) or they need a "dirty job" done (something that any one of the 5 ppl decided they didnt "feel" like doing).

my friends, well i've recently been "ranting" about that LoL!

i dont have any anymore because they have "more important"things to do - but just wait, when something bad happens, they'll be at my door! *wink*

my s.o. is the only one who really seems to appreciate me & understand me. and dont get me wrong - that fills me with pleasure more than i can say... but unfortunately, sometimes we need more than one person's feedback. sometimes even a girlfriend (of which i have none) to give us something to warm our hearts.

so invisible - yes, i live it - day after day.

welcome to the club.

Sue.

Sending you many hugs {{{{{{Caly}}}}}}

I too, can relate to the ivisible feeling. Thing is, I got rid of the "friends" that used to do that to me and I feel a MILLION times better. And I mentioned this invisible thing to my instructor of my class and she said that maybe it is because I tend to be quiet when I don't know people. Which sorta makes sense, but not when you are supposed to be with your best friend. Anyhoo, I got rid of that group of friends.

Sometimes I still feel invisible, but mostly now I know it's because I am quiet when I first meet people. But when it comes to friends etc, I let em all know.

Take care Caly

((((((((((((((((((((((((((caly))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Honey I am so sorry that you are feeling this way, I guess I am guilty of leaving people out and using the and everyone thing we all do it time to time.

I know how you feel about the invisible thing I too suffer from that I live with it in my house, I could ask my sister if she is getting dinner and she will say I dont know and then her and my roommate Luis will go out and order something to eat and forget about me.

I wish that there was something that we could all do to make ourselves not invisible any more but there usually isnt anything to do but to live with it like we all have been doing for so long, we could say something and make people listen but that only works for a few days or at least that is how it is for me.

Your friends may be a little different they may take to heart what you are saying and stop the behavior and treat you much better and I hope that they will see how great you are and see that they dont want to lose a person like you.

Caly I am so sorry that I have had blinders on sometimes I get so wrapped up in my own crap that I forget about others and I should not do that especially with you since you always take time out to help others.

You are appreciated here and you are loved here and I hope that you know that.

((((Caly)))))))

You are not invisible to me. You are a wonderful person who will listen to everybody with compassion. I admire that in a person.

I'm also having a problem with that. I found out though that I don't open up that easily to people. For some reason I'm afraid to disclose my innermost feelings. I'm a good listener (I think), but when it comes to myself, I tend to clam up. So a lot of people think that I'm doing fine all the time. Yeah right.......lol.

The other thing I had to learn was, that I had to tell people how I feel and what's going on , because nobody is a mind reader. Eventhough a lot of times I expect my DH to be one...lol.

Lots of hugs to you ..........Ilka
