Hi I am Beth SAHM to Brianna (2yrs). I have problems with depression. I was on medication but we have since moved ,my perscription has run out and have been off my meds for about 6 months and wow there is a huge differance. DH just started a new job and we have medical insureace again so I will be going to the dr again in the next month . I am finding that since I have been off my medication just about everything my dd does DRIVES ME NUTS!!! The biggest 2 are 1) the way she eats, she bites everythign into tiny pieces before chewing it up the sound drives me up the wall!! 2) she climbs all over me all the time, like I'm a freeking jungle gym. is this normal or just me?? I feel like I'm a bad mom cause I just cant take the little things she does.

I don't think you are a terrible mom, things have a way of seeming way bigger than they are when you are going through depression.
I am glad to hear that you are getting back on your meds. Have you ever been to see a therapist? They really do help. Therapy together with meds is the best way to fight the battle against depression.
I look forward to getting to know you better sweetie.
Take care
Pamela
I am glad to hear that you will be going back to the doctor and getting your meds again.
I know how you feel about things driving you nuts, I was that way with my son about 4 years ago every little thing drove me nuts and I felt like I was out of my mind half the time but I also was not functioning either so that didnt help but now that I see a pdoc and a tdoc and am on meds I feel much better and I have begun to make future plans with my life and this time nothing is going to stop me.
I think that once things settle for you and you get to see the doctor again you wont feel this way about your child you may actually start to see reliefe in that child kids have a way of making us laugh when we want to cry the tings they say and do send me into such a laugh and smile it feels great.
in time you will feel like you again.

My kids will drive me nuts too. Just yesterday I was telling my DH that I was going nuts, because I had the 2 younger ones (1 and 3) climbing all over me. I couldn't sit down for 2 minutes without being climbed on. ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHH.....!!
So I do think you have a right to your feelings.....good luck.........Hugs Ilka
I just wanted to welcome you to the board, and hope you find it a comforting place to be..
Hang in there..
