Heres my problem. I took Celexa since 2001 and I decided to stop on

OCT of 2003. I completely stopped and did not tell my doctor beecause

I had no insurance to pay for the medication. My symptoms at the time were that I was getting angry for no reason, anything got me mad. Around Jan4, I got my insurance back and I got back on Celexa because I wanted to continue it, I knew my doctor

would be mad, I took it for 5 or 6 days (20MG daily) and I got bad side

effects, heart was racing, headaches , so I quit it. It has been about 12 or 13 days now

that I have quit Celexa. I am miserable. I can't sleep, I

can't eat, the light bothers me, and I feel like I'm losing it, I also

have heart palpitations... Heres a URL :

http://www.add-adhd-natural-solutions.com/celexa.html (on the bottom

is the list of symptoms I suffer from 90% of them).

.My question is how long will these side effects remain in my body for? Its a very scary

feeling and I dont know how long I can put up with it !!!!!!!

Whats even worse that my new semester already started, I had the perfect schedule but now I can't even go to school!!!! Someone please help me what is going on with me???? Am I going crazy

Call the Dr/Pharmacy and tell them about the side effects. They can put you on something else. I'm on Lexapro, which is very similar to Celexa, but not with that many side effects. You can't just feel bad. Please call somebody.

Let us know what you find out.........Hugs Ilka

It may be that 20 mg is too high a dose to start with.. Im not sure with Celexa as I havent taken it , I agree that it is best to call your doctor or your pharmacist and find out.

I take celexa, and I know that quitting it cold turkey is not something you want to have to do.
