Hi, I have taken Lexapro also...and although I can't speak from personal experience (long story, but I haven't had a boyfriend in a while, and I am waiting for a committed relationship anyway), I have read that a decreased libido is a common side effect of many SSRI's. Some of them are more known for causing that effect than others...and I know that one antidepressant in particular (Wellbutrin) is supposed to have little or no effect on sex drive. If I were you, I'd talk to my doctor about this, embarrassing as it may be...maybe he or she can prescribe something to help you or possibly change your medication if the loss of libido is a major problem for you.
I found this on Lexapro's website. I don't know if this will help you, but you can read it anyway!
Will LEXAPRO affect my sex drive?
Although changes in sexual desire, sexual performance, and sexual satisfaction may occur while a person experiences a depression episode, they may also be a consequence of treatment with SSRI therapies. Reliable estimates of changes in sexual behavior related to medication are difficult to obtain, because patients and physicians are often reluctant to discuss them. In clinical trials, a low percentage of patients taking LEXAPRO have reported sexual side effects, primarily ejaculatory delay in men. If you have questions about sexual dysfunction, speak with your healthcare professional or doctor.
Maybe it is just from being depressed. I think that is a more reliable answer to your problem. You can ask your doctor about it.
I know my Paxil does the same thing for me. I was prescribed a low dose of Wellbutrin to help this side effect. You should talk with your doctor about it.

I think the fact that I was so concerned about my weight gain is why she perscribed Lexapro instead of something else.
