Hands shaking & tightness in chest

It's me again. I forgot to ask in my earlier post. My Mom's hands are always shaking and she has this tightness in her chest under the bust area. Do any of our depression supporters have either of these feelings and would you share with me what your physician said these feeling were caused by? My Mom also complains of a 'twitch' in her mid-calf area on her right leg. Her physician can't explain these feelings to her and this is VERY upsetting to her... especially since it's been over 10years of this complaint. Thanks ladies. --djg in Tallahassee

The hand shaking and tightness sounds liek what I have and that is anxiety/panic attack symptoms or it could be due to meds she is on...

HI,

I missed your original post, but I wanted to go ahead and respond here.

I have suffered from depression for a while and although I don't KNOW that it is realated, I would assume that my many misterious aches pains and body wonders are realated. I assume that because I have been to the doctors and they always say I am healthy. I have tingling in the chest, rapid heart beat, and some serious breast pain. In regards to twitching I have that throughout my body randomly. It is more like what it feels like when a baby first kicks when you are pregnant, but happens in my back or in my leg or arm.

Now, like I said, I missed your original post so I'm not really sure about the circumstance, but if your mother is new to depression, she should most definitely go to a general physician and get a physical. She should let the doctor know what is going on and get all the blood work up, etc. It's always best to rule out any physical illness. I hope maybe this helped a little.
