I'm still here, if anyone remembers me. Just lurking. Haven't felt I've had much to say, I guess.

If I haven't mentioned, I'm going to Vegas for a couple days next month, with my best friend. She's going for work, but we're going a day early so we can paint the town. and there's a chance my long-distance boyfriend will make it..Its about 270 miles for him..but quite a bit closer than it is to here..And it has now been two years since we've been face to face. We talk every day..and it is nice to be able to do that, but it just isn't the same...

Anyway...hope for me..

HI Jenn,

I hope I am not being presumptuous, but I got a clear sense that even though you feel you have nothing to say, you did say alot about your LDR and your unhappiness about it. I would be unhappy too - 2 years is too long to not see someone your in love with. (what is the reason for the Long distance?)

I have been involved in similar scenarios throughout my life - gotten 'involved' without actually involving myself in a real relationship. By this I mean, I became attached to someone, called them my BF and made myself unavailable to those who were here and ready to love me. Yet I got no real satisfaction or enjoyment from the LDRs because so much was missing. I was always wanting and waiting and never happy. I don't do this anymore because the pain of it was too unbearable (took lots of therapy!:)

I just got a sense that perhaps you are doing this too. You have a BF that you haven't seen in 2 years and you are sad. The phone calls are nice, but having a complete relationship is what you need.

I hope that if the long distance is just temporary you will be able to be together. If it is not, I hope youwill consider that there is someone in your town that would love you and whom you would love equally so you can enjoy the full benefits of being in love.
