sad today, did something dumb!

Hey all. I feel like an idiot today because I was pulling out of my driveway and I managed to swing the car a bit too much and bumped into my boyfriend's truck. Luckily he just bought a new car and he doesn't drive the truck, not to mention that it's really old and covered in rust spots and scratches anyway, but I feel so horrible about it. My car is a 99 and almost perfect and I managed to put a gouge in the front of it and some nice scrapes that I doubt I will be able to fix with touch up paint. I have finally gotten to the point where I feel almost confident as a driver and was feeling pretty good about things (Some of you may remember I had a driving phobia but zoloft has helped me with that quite a bit) but now I just feel really down and stupid. I know my boyfriend won't be upset but I have a feeling he will think I'm stupid, I know he would never say anything like that but I would be able to read it in his face, I know him too well. I really look up to him and respect his opinions and I would hate to have him think that I am an incapable driver...not to mention...my car, my car!! Ugh. I am the type of person who hates to have things wrong with the car. Every time I see the scratches it's just going to remind me that I'm an incompetent driver and I shouldn't be on the road. :-(

Accidents are called that for a reason.
Hun if they took every driver off the road who ever made a mistake.. we would ALL be walking
*hugs
Caly and Trac are so right it is an accident that is why they are called accidents it is not like you set out for the day to hit your car like you woke up in the morning and said okay today I am going to hit my car and have a few scratches put on it let me tell you if you took one look at my car you would laugh your butt of at me because my car is so dented and scratched up it is so sad
so dont worry about your car it will be fine
