Hi, welcome to the board...the photos of your kids are so cute! I agree that different people use different things to "self-medicate" in a way...I know I do, although fortunately most of the things I use are not too harmful...chocolate and sugar, mainly! Along with some not-so-helpful things, too...

I am seriously lacking in experience in the romance department...but I think sex between a husband and wife is hardly a bad way to make yourself feel better...as long as you are able to deal with it when he is not in the mood. Wow, I feel kind of embarrassed posting this...but even though I don't have a boyfriend or anyone like that in my life now, I do occasionally wish for someone to hold me close when I am feeling particularly down.

My one and only semi-serious boyfriend really helped my mood...but after the relationship ended, he really criticized my "self-destructive tendencies"...and he is going to graduate school in psychology! I know I can't rely completely on another person to lift my spirits, though...and I even feel bad that I may have been "using" my boyfriend in this way to help my mood...but that doesn't stop me from wishing I had a guy in my life anyway! Kind of sad...

But sorry to get off track...you are lucky to have a supportive husband in your life...I hope that you will keep posting here and begin to feel better about yourself and your relationship.
