It was an AWESOME movie its about time it got something I just wish sean aston had at least gotten nominated for best supporting. I saw all 3 of these movies opening night I was 8.5 months pregnant for the first one LOL. I love them. I'm tired of that flapping jaws too. my mom went off saying that seabiscuit should have won and blah blah blah . ug I was like mom you didnt even see any of the 3 of the LOTR.

if something makes you happy, enjoy it and whoever has something to say about it is just rude. true friends will be happy that you are happy. maybe the woman at work didn't get how excited you really were. i'm happy for you if you are excited about the awards! i always thought the titanic story was really interesting and when it was made into a movie and got all of the awards, everyone made fun of it. don't let anyone spoil your fun!

I'm sorry, I don't know why people do that...jealousy, maybe, because you were able to experience such joy from a movie or a game?! I honestly don't know. Even though I haven't seen the LOTR movies myself, I've heard they're awesome...and a good movie can sometimes give me at least a little bit of happiness too.

I'm just glad that you were able to find joy in the films and the awards that they won... even though I know this is easier said than done, I would try just to ignore the people who tell you they're bored with what you have to say. I'm sure there are more than enough fans of the movie out there for you to have many interesting conversations and shared happiness. I wonder if there's even a message board for that sort of thing...?

I know how hard it can be to find happiness in the midst of depression, so I think anyone who truly knows what you have been through would tell you to savor every moment. I hope that you are able to do just that...and who knows, even though I very rarely watch movies, I may even drag myself into a movie theater sometime to see the film (is it still playing?) just because you give it such a good recommendation.

Hope tomorrow goes better,

Rose

I'm sorry for raining on your parade. I honestly didn't mean to. I thought that the LOTR was a great movie, except that it went on too long. I'm a professional editor and so my opinions on it were strong. Plus, I have a short attention span at times.

I posted my opinion about the editing Oscar before you posted your opinion. I actually started to write it at the beginning of the show. Anyway, I seriously apologize. I have a few things that mean a lot to me the way LOTR does to you. I love Xena so much! I love Buffy and Charmed, too. I'm also a HUGE Sting fan. When I'm into something, I get into it all the way. I got frustrated with LOTR because it's the type of thing I love, it was so well done, but in my opinion, it needed a more editing of each take. I was frustrated when I was watching it because I wanted to like it. It was so beautiful and the message was so powerful. That frustrated me.

But I loved Frodo, Gandalf, Sam, Legolas, and especially Arwen. I even want to buy one of those pendants like Arwen has.

I'm sorry to have been negative about something you love so much. I wrote my post tongue in cheek, meaning for it to make people laugh, not upset them. It's not a big deal to me. I'm sorry that I did it because LOTR means so much to you.

Please accept my apology,
