Anyone who read what I posted yesterday knows how elated I am that LOTR cleaned up at the Oscars.

I'm just glad that you were able to find joy in the films and the awards that they won... even though I know this is easier said than done, I would try just to ignore the people who tell you they're bored with what you have to say. I'm sure there are more than enough fans of the movie out there for you to have many interesting conversations and shared happiness. I wonder if there's even a message board for that sort of thing...?
I know how hard it can be to find happiness in the midst of depression, so I think anyone who truly knows what you have been through would tell you to savor every moment. I hope that you are able to do just that...and who knows, even though I very rarely watch movies, I may even drag myself into a movie theater sometime to see the film (is it still playing?) just because you give it such a good recommendation.
Hope tomorrow goes better,
Rose
(((((((Mary))))))), your happiness brought me happiness!
I posted my opinion about the editing Oscar before you posted your opinion. I actually started to write it at the beginning of the show. Anyway, I seriously apologize. I have a few things that mean a lot to me the way LOTR does to you. I love Xena so much! I love Buffy and Charmed, too. I'm also a HUGE Sting fan. When I'm into something, I get into it all the way. I got frustrated with LOTR because it's the type of thing I love, it was so well done, but in my opinion, it needed a more editing of each take. I was frustrated when I was watching it because I wanted to like it. It was so beautiful and the message was so powerful. That frustrated me.
But I loved Frodo, Gandalf, Sam, Legolas, and especially Arwen. I even want to buy one of those pendants like Arwen has.
I'm sorry to have been negative about something you love so much. I wrote my post tongue in cheek, meaning for it to make people laugh, not upset them. It's not a big deal to me. I'm sorry that I did it because LOTR means so much to you.
Please accept my apology,
MariaC
You can talk to me about LOTR anytime you want.
